Family relationships can hold some of our deepest connections and our most complicated emotions. Even when everyone cares deeply about one another, it can become difficult to communicate, understand each other's perspectives, or break patterns that seem to repeat themselves.
Family therapy creates a space to understand those patterns rather than simply assign them to one person. Together, we can explore how each person experiences the relationship, what happens between you when conflict arises, and what may be getting lost beneath the words being said.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and attentive to the ways family history, attachment, communication, and individual experiences shape the family as a whole. I recognize that our families are shaped by the cultures, traditions, values, and expectations we grow up with, and that these can influence how we understand closeness, independence, responsibility, and family in itself. The goal is not to determine who is at fault, but to create more understanding, healthier communication, and relationships that feel more connected and sustainable.
